Refund & Cancellation Policy

 

Our Commitment

We understand that plans can change. At the same time, organising a residential training programme requires significant advance commitments for accommodation, catering, venue hire, materials, and logistics.

Our refund policy is designed to be fair to both participants and the Academy.

 

1. Securing Your Place

Your place is confirmed once payment has been received by Solar de Alcains and the Academy.

Places are limited and reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

2. Participant Cancellation

Choose the timeline that best fits your business model. A common approach is:

Cancellation before the event

Refund

More than 60 days

100% refund, minus any non-refundable deposit

31–60 days

50% refund

30 days or less

No refund

Early Bird bookings are non-refundable but may be transferred to another participant.

 

3. Booking Transfer

If a participant cannot attend, they may transfer their booking to another person, subject to:

• prior written approval,

• the replacement meeting any participation requirements,

• notification at least 7–14 days before the event.

 

4. If We Cancel the Academy

If Retreat Creator Academy cancels the programme, participants may choose between:

• a full refund of the amount paid, or

• transferring their booking to a future Academy.

 

 

5. Travel Expenses

Participants are responsible for their own:

• flights,

• visas,

• travel insurance,

• additional accommodation outside the programme.

Retreat Creator Academy cannot reimburse travel costs if a participant cancels or if circumstances outside our control affect travel.

 

6. Force Majeure

No refunds will be due where the programme is prevented or significantly affected by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• natural disasters,

• pandemics,

• government restrictions,

• war or civil unrest,

• strikes,

• severe weather,

• airline disruptions.

Where possible, we will offer an alternative date or credit toward a future programme.

 

7. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that every participant purchases comprehensive travel insurance that includes:

• trip cancellation,

• medical expenses,

• personal belongings,

• travel delays,

• emergency repatriation.
